Kim Adams is a retired elementary school teacher who enjoys volunteering her time in schools working with children and empowering them with literacy knowledge. The storyteller was born when Kim was ten years old, and she penned pages in journals of characters on adventures. This is her debut chapter book blending some of her character’s personalities from her own large family of Italian relatives. She lives in Central New York with her husband, Glenn. They both love to spend time with family and travel throughout the world.
I started writing stories at ten years old. I had small spiral notebooks filled with traveling adventures about children my own age. As a teenager, I kept journals and enjoyed listening to all genres of music. The song lyrics emotionally moved me. I even attempted writing lyrics!
In college I majored in education and took creative writing and literature courses where I read classic English Literature and wrote short stories.
The memories of playing with all of my local cousins and meeting a neurodivergent cousin from New Jersey inspired Bella and Nash.
